BIOGRAPHY // JULIAN PEREZ (FATHERS & SONS, VIVa MUSiC, LEFTROOM)

Julian Perez developed a love for electronic music since the early 90's. Influenced by the old school house & Tchno grooves, he shaped his style with Imports from Detroit, Chicago, UK. At 16, Julian started DJing as a hobby for friends, thanks to records by MK, Todd Terry, Carl Craig, Chez Damier, Paul Johnson, DJ Sneak.. It was around this time that he first stepped into the clubbing scene and started playing smaller clubs in his hometown.

2006 lead Julian to Ibiza. His fresh & elegant style quickly created an interest and he was approached by promoters from London and Ibiza who offered him an opportunity to play at many clubs there during the summer seasons such us Pacha Hotel, Space, Blu, Ushuaia, Sands, a residency at Salvation parties at Heaven in 2007, a residency in La Plage in 2009, plus various villa parties around Ibiza.

In winter seasons he has traveled to new shores, playing in Argentina, Uruguay, Brasil, Costa Rica, Panama and has been performing at festivals like ADE (Amsterdam Dance Event) and Miami for the WMC (Winter Music Conference) label showcases and parties around the conference for the last 4 years.

2010 started a new era for Julian, having played in many clubs around Spain, Greece, Viena, Italy, Amsterdam, London, Philadelphia, Miami and New York. His debut track by the label Lowpitch Records, got to be in the deep house Beatport Top 50 in the first week of its release. With several productions out on labels such as Leftroom, Lowpitch, Recycle and Frankfurt based Two.Birds Records - Julian is without a doubt an artist to keep an eye on.

Artists such as Richie Hawtin, Steve Lawler, Loco Dice, Carl Cox, Marco Carola, Onur Ozer, Raresh, Mathias Kaden, Livio & Roby, Kerri Chandler, Franco Cinelli, The Martinez Brothers, have been playing his unreleased tracks by these labels during the last 2 years.

In 2012 Julian has become a part of Steve Lawler's VIVa MUSiC Crew and he's one of the VIVa Warriors, one of the new and more underground parties of the season, being very present in the label showcases around London, Berlin, Switzerland, Miami, Ibiza...
VIVa Warriors and Julian have been nominated for the best Ibiza party and best artist 2012 by Vicious Music Awards.

Several releases are coming out in the second half of this year, one of the most wanted tracks of the season was his remix of the old anthem "The Night Train", a real hit played by the biggest names over the summer. In addition, Julian is current focusing on his new imprint: "Fathers & Sons Productions", an underground house/techno vinyl-only label with very limited copies. All the releases have been sold out the first week on the market and all of them on first 3 places on top techno viny sells.

Julian Celebrates "Fathers & Sons First Anniversary Shows", With 12 events around the world, it will be presented at various countries during the second third of 2013, starting at Miami WMC and throughout Berlin, Barcelona, Zurich, Moscow, Bucharest, Basel, Kiev, London, Paris, Ibiza plus a very big event at Sonar Week, Barcelona. Artists such as Mathias Kaden, Valentino Kanzyani, Tobi Neumann, Martinez, DJ W!ld, Bil Patrick, D'Julz, Nastia, Sebo K, Boris Werner, Franco Cinelli, among others, will be involved on it. Of course Livio & Roby and S.A.M. as regulars on the label.

Julian has built a solid reputation around the world, building a solid following of fans with his elegantly moving and absorbing groovy style. The best way to get to know and enjoy Julian is to listen to him in his own world behind the decks. His sound now goes well beyond deep and old school house grooves, pushing a unique sound that has continuously provided a soundtrack for some of the worlds best party experiences.
