Ibiza-based artist Julian Perez returned to Japan in December 2016 for his first visit in two and a half years, covering two cities: Nagoya and Tokyo.

The tour coincided with the release of his debut album Solemnity (FAS012) on Fathers & Sons Productions — the label he founded in 2012, known for its subtle, dubby house sound and a catalogue where every release sold out within days of going on sale, some fetching over €100 on the secondary market within months of release.

Both dates featured a b2b with Satoshi Otsuki of Tresvibes Soundsystem, who had also appeared at a Fathers & Sons Productions night at Ibiza Underground that September.
