Spanish DJ and producer Julian Perez returned from a hiatus with a new EP on his Girada Unlimited imprint. The label has established itself as a platform for innovative electronic music, supporting artists including Amsterdam's Caim, Argentina's Franco Cinelli, and Dutch producers D&S.
Track by Track
A1 — 'Overdubbing Theory' opens the record with Perez's recognizable production style, combining bouncy kicks, snare drums and puzzling synths. The composition starts with ethereal textures and atmospheric elements layered over driving percussion, building toward an intense peak-time moment suitable for DJ sets.
A2 — 'Mean Anomaly' adopts a slower tempo with dub-influenced aesthetics, gradually introducing playful rhythmic elements and crisp drum patterns as it develops.
B1 — 'Kinetic Phatt' shifts toward house music territory, featuring deep bass movements, vocal elements and luminous pad textures creating a groovy foundation.
B2 — 'A Different D' concludes the release by exploring electro directions with syncopated breakbeats and atmospheric vocals.
The EP demonstrates Perez's versatility across multiple electronic music styles. Available for pre-order through Yoyaku, deejay.de and HHV Records.
